Team

The Team section allows you to configure and apply settings specific to a newly provisioned Microsoft Team.

Channels

To add predefined channels:

  • Click the Add a channel button under Channels.
  • Enter a name for each channel in the Title field.
  • Use the delete icon to remove a channel.
  • Use the up/down arrows to reorder channels.

Channel Type

For each channel, select its type from the drop-down under the title:

  • Standard (default)
  • Private
  • Shared

Tabs

To configure tabs within a channel:

  • Click Configure Tabs → Add a tab.
  • Provide a name in the Tab title field.
  • Select a tab type from the drop-down under Tab type.

If the automation step includes a OneNote or Planner, you can link them by selecting the corresponding tab type.
Supported tab types include:

  • OneNote
  • Planner
  • PDF file
  • Word file
  • Excel file
  • PowerPoint file
  • SharePoint library
  • Channel Calendar
  • External website

First channel

To add tabs to the first channel of the Team, add a channel entry and select First channel below the channel type.

A channel entry targeting the first channel

  • The action finds the first channel through Microsoft Teams, whatever its name or language. It no longer relies on the name General.
  • The Title field and the Automatically show this channel in everyone’s channel list option are hidden. The name comes from the template under First channel name. See Settings.
  • One action can serve several templates, which is why the action does not set the name.
info

Existing channel entries named General, or named like the Microsoft Teams default in another supported language, are treated as First channel automatically. EasyLife saves the change the next time you save the action. Nothing to migrate.

Extensibility

To trigger an external process after the Team provisioning is completed:

  • Enter the webhook URL in the Webhook field.
A POST request will be issued upon completion.
