Overview
Provisioning actions provide advanced customization capabilities for Teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, SharePoint sites, and Guest Accounts created through EasyLife. These actions are executed once, immediately after the object is provisioned. Actions can be filtered by templates or metadata and are automatically applied to all objects that match the specified criteria. When an object matches multiple actions, they are executed in the following order: unfiltered actions first, then filtered actions based on priority (lowest to highest), and finally by alphabetical order if priorities match.
There are three categories of provisioning actions:
- Actions for Microsoft 365 Groups-based objects
- Actions for SharePoint sites
- Actions for Guest Accounts
Details
Create a new provisioning action using the Create an action button or duplicate an existing one by selecting it and clicking Duplicate.
In the Details section:
- Enter a descriptive name in the Title field.
- Set a numeric value in the Priority field. Lower numbers indicate higher priority. Actions with priority
0
are executed first. If multiple actions configure the same setting, the last executed action takes precedence and overrides previous configurations.
Filter
Provisioning actions can be scoped using templates or metadata. Actions without filters are always applied.
Filter by Template
Navigate to the Filter by Template tab in the Details section. Use the radio option to include or exclude selected templates. Then, select one or more templates from the list.
Filter by Metadata
Go to the Filter by Metadata tab in the Details section. Use the radio option to include or exclude items matching the defined metadata. Specify one or more metadata fields in the table to filter accordingly.
